Philips X596: battery on 4000 mAh battery and 16 MP camera
Dutch manufacturer Philips has officially announced X596 in China. The design of the smartphone is not something unusual, its body is made of aluminum alloy, used in aviation. In this case, Philips is trying to attract the attention of buyers technical characteristics of the device.
Philips X596 has a 5.5” screen, protected by 2.5 D glass. The display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Inside is a Snapdragon processor 435. The chip consists of 8 cores, it is made according to the old 28-nm technology and has a low frequency (1.4 GHz).
The device has 4 GB of RAM and two options of flash memory: 32 GB and 64 GB. On the front and back panel with one 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. The main sensor equipped with led flash and auto focus. It is capable of recording video in 1080p.
In the back, just under the camera module, a fingerprint scanner. The device has a standard set of wireless connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Novelty is a big battery of 4000 mAh. Included is a charger for 9 V/2 A, which provides fast charging of the device. The smartphone came with not the latest software (Android 7.1 Nougat). Philips X596 with 4 GB of RAM + 32 GB ROM estimated at 1299 RMB (~$195), and a variant with 64 GB of flash memory will sell for 1,499 yuan (~$225). Pre-ordering is already possible to do via the Chinese online site JD.com. Delivery of the smartphone will begin on 5 November.
