What is the NCK code in the phone/smartphone?
Imagine that you purchased a smartphone from a carrier. I use it for some time, then decide to change operator. Get a new SIM card, insert it into the smartphone and... On the screen a message appears asking you to enter NCK code. What is it and why is it needed?
You probably know that the mobile operators sell locked smartphones or phones: they only work with one operator. If you insert into the slot a SIM card from another operator, the device will not work and the screen will appear asking you to enter the NCK code that required to unlock the device.
We have smartphones attached to such operators as Beeline, MTS, MegaFon. Note, however, that the idea was born not here, but abroad — binding specific devices to the operator a long time exists in the same America. Take the iPhone for example. Why you need a lock? It's simple: the operator would benefit you to use his services, and he, in turn, sells the device at a discount. Both sides are satisfied.
But back to the NCK code. If the device is locked under a certain network operator, it does not mean that it will not work with SIM cards of other operators — will, but only after entering the NCK code. Where can I get it? NCK code is the network operator. Overseas operators act as follows: they allow to unlock the phone, but you will have to pay for the NCK code. As a rule, the cost is not so small so that users do not very much and wanted to buy NCK code, so much in demand they do not use. As for Russian operators, according to our data, NCK codes they are not for sale. However, on the web you can find many organization that are engaged in the sale of services for unlocking devices. Help or not, we don't know. However, keep in mind that some devices unlock impossible in principle — there is no technical possibility.
