Venus Optics is Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D and 25mm F2.8 2.5-5x
Venus Optics continues to develop its range of optics under the trademark Laowa. Was announced two interesting lenses. First — Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D that speaks about zero Isaiah. This wide-angle lens for mirrorless cameras with sensor APS-C. the Second optics became a full-frame macro lens Laowa 25mm F2.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro.
None of these lenses are not currently published on the Venus Optics website.
Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D
Venus Laowa Optics 9mm F2.8 Zero-D is a wide-angle lens designed for mirrorless APS-C cameras, specifically the Sony E, Fuji X and Canon EF-M. Optics provides a viewing angle of 113°. Venus Optics claims that this is the wide-angle lens with an aperture of F2.8, available for cameras APS-C.
Inside you will find 15 elements in 10 groups, including three ed elements and two aspheric to reduce distortion to zero (or as close to it). You will also get a 7-blade diaphragm and a metallic design, which promises excellent reliability.
The lens should go on sale in April, but the price is still not determined.
Laowa 25mm F2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro
The second lens is a 25mm F2 Laowa.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro on full frame cameras. You will be able to use it with Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K, Sony FE when it goes on sale in April.
The lens offers a 5x zoom, using the optical design of 8 elements in 6 groups, including lens ultra-low dispersion and multi-coated. Working distance to the object is only 40 mm.
As 9mm F2.Zero 8-D, 25mm F2.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro will get a metal body and will be released in April. Venus Optics has not announced prices, but according to rumors, the lens will cost $400.
