3D video with Samsung 360 Round
Samsung has introduced a new interesting gadget for the annual Samsung Developer conference. Meet the Samsung 360 Round – VR is a 3D camera.
The new device uses 17 modules cameras: eight horizontal pairs of stereo cameras and one lens at the top. The camera provides the ability to broadcast live 4K 3D panoramic video at 30 frames per second. Each camera module has a sensor size of 1/2.8 inches with a resolution of 2MP and aperture F1.8. All of this is in a compact and durable housing that offers IP65 protection, which guarantees the tightness from moisture and dust.
Software for computer that provides camera control and video stitching is included in the package. On the camera has a set of interfaces for connection to external microphones, storage devices, and more.
Samsung 360 Round will be available in October. Samsung says that the camera is aimed at professionals in the field of application for virtual reality, but is sold at a reasonable price. The cost has yet to be announced.
