The Verge learned about the launch of the second round of presale to ICO Telegram
The messenger Telegram has launched a second secret pre-selling its cryptocurrency prior to conducting a public offering of tokens (ICO), reports The Verge, citing four sources. According to them, this week, the accredited investors received e-mails informing you of the beginning of sales.
The expected sales amount is not yet known, but the sources claim that the Telegram hopes to earn the same as received during the first presale. Thus, the company may raise $1.6 billion before the public ICO.
In a Telegram the requests of the journalists on the second pre-ICO left without comment.
According to The Verge, it is difficult to find out the exact amount of investment in Telegram: the company, not just changing the value proposition in connection with increased interest. Several investors who participated in the first pre-ICO, told the publication that the discount for tokens was varied from 30 to 80%. According to the Commission on securities and exchange Commission (SEC), during the first presale of cryptocurrency Telegram drew $850 million from 81 investors (link to document).
That Telegram is planning to launch a blockchain-based platform of the "third generation" with his cryptocurrency Gram, became known in January. The launch of the platform will be carried out by the ICO, the first presale which has already attracted the attention of Russian investors, including the founder of Qiwi Sergey Solonin, one of the founders of the company Wimm-bill-Anddavid Yakobashvili and Roman Abramovich.
