Russia has experienced “incredible growth” in the number of patent applications on the blockchain
The head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev at the international conference "Digital transformation: intellectual property and blockchain-technologies", held in Moscow on 16-17 April, stated that the blockchain will help in the protection of intellectual property rights. Ivlieva quoted by RIA Novosti:
We see that using the blockchain technology to protect intellectual property rights, quality, reliability and operation speed can be substantially increased.
According to Ivliev, the blockchain technology needs to be protected as intellectual property. According to officials, has issued over one hundred patents and there has been a "tremendous" increase in the number of applications.
Earlier, President of Ukraine told RIA Novosti that the first Russian patent for the blockchain, this technology proposes to use as a means of quality control at all stages, from production to implementation.
Another participant of the conference, first Deputy head of the Russian government apparatus Maxim Akimov, promised that the digital economy will be "cross-cutting agenda for all Russian agencies." According to him, that the digital economy was named in the President's message priority.
